This Scientific Opinion covers plant health threats posed by flowers of Prunus domestica grafted on Prunus cerasifera brought in from Ukraine, taking into consideration the readily available scientific information, like the technical information supplied by Ukraine. All insects associated with the commodity were assessed against certain requirements because of their relevance with this opinion. One quarantine pest (Lopholeucaspis japonica), two protected area quarantine bugs (Erwinia amylovora and Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni) plus one non-regulated pest (Eotetranychus prunicola) that fulfilled all relevant requirements had been selected for further analysis. Of these four pests, the danger mitigation steps suggested within the technical dossier from Ukraine had been assessed taking into account the possible restricting factors. For the selected pests, a professional judgement is given in the likelihood of pest freedom taking into consideration the chance minimization steps acting on the pest, including concerns linked to the assessment.
